Direct Support Professional (Residential) - Frederick County

Details

Wage: $11/hour

Hours: full-time

Shifts needed include 3pm-11pm and 11pm-9am (Awake Overnight)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School Diploma
  • Desire to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and assist them in gaining new skills in a home and community based setting.

This position provides direct support to individuals living in a group home setting and helps support the gaining of new skills in the home setting. In addition, the residential direct support professional focuses on assisting the individual with locating community activities that promote community inclusion and help individuals gain skills in a community based setting. 

The Direct Support Profession in residential is responsible for ensuring that people in the home receive support in regular home-based activities including cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, cleaning, shopping, and numerous other tasks. This position works closely with the Residential supervisor of the home to ensure that all the needs of the people are met and that individuals have everything they need to pursue their person-centered plan goals. DSPs in residential are responsible for ensuring that all documentation for individuals in the home is completed daily and that all information entered is accurate.
