An Established History of Providing Community Support

Family Service Foundation, Inc. (FSF) has been supporting local communities since 1936. Over the years we have expanded our support circle to include Prince George’s County, Baltimore, and Frederick, Maryland. These programs include Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities support services that promote individuals’ well being in the home, workplace, and community.

Family Service Foundation, Inc. (FSF) provides advocacy and support services to persons with Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Mental Health (MH) issues, with a special emphasis on serving persons who are Deaf and Deaf-Blind. FSF is committed to assisting all individuals to live independently, and have meaningful, happy, and comfortable lives. Whether in the workforce, living in their own homes or enjoying friends and recreational activities, our clients lead full and enriched lives.

Services

Family Services Foundation (FSF) provides person-centered services that encourage growth in our clients, change their lives for the better, and enrich the local community. Our primary services include:

Developmental Disabilities

We provide residential rehabilitation services and day psychiatric rehabilitation to individuals who  experience severe or chronic mental illness.  We also provide Outpatient Mental Health Clinics services to those clients as well as the surrounding community.

Behavioral Health Services

We serve individuals with different abilities and believe that everyone can achieve their goals. FSF is dedicated to offering choices to our clients and helping them learn to be independent at home, in the community, and at work.

Sign Language Interpreting

We employ two full-time staff interpreters to assist our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing clients and community neighbors. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), they are available to interpret during client visits with FSF staff and medical personnel.
